Mochi A Quick Mother

ah, i forgot to tell u that mochi did gives birth to 4 new babies on january.. its cute and reddish.. my kept telling me not to handle them untill mochi feel more confortable.. but i had to transfer pochi away as i know that most likely the father will eat their babies as a way to show they are the man there..
i did remove pochi to a temporary enclosure to separate him from mochi and her babies..
anyway, after 3 days, all her babies died..
its a sad day for me and my wife.. but as i read in the net, the percentage of the 1st babies to recover and live is small.. the mother of hamster always eat their sick babies to make sure the survival of others is secure.. but in mochi case, i think the babies didnt survive it.. and i also dont think mochi is experience enuf to take care of her babies now.. she just an unmatured mother..
now the couple re-unite in their enclosure.. i think they will mate again soon, we'll have to wait for next time..
