Faulty Monitor

hmphf!
just found out that i need to get a new monitor for my home pc..
the one that i used is faulty and kept shuttin down whenever i used it long enuf.. dem, at this time i dont think it would be a good time for me to upgrade for a new pc stuffs..
been searchin on the net and the cheapest that i can find is priced at RM450 a piece.. haiyo! need more money..
i guess i had to continued using this monitor till it really (i mean really really!) cant be used.. my colleague told me that old crt monitor can burst and explode if used after 5-6 years.. as i remember, i got this monitor bout 8-9 years ago.. dem!
